This Saturday (tomorrow!) the Troy Bike Rescue is having a fundraiser and “Open House” celebration. What is Troy Bike Rescue (TBR)? TBR is an all-volunteer collective that facilitates bicycle recycling, bicycle education, and promotes cycling as a means of transportation. Around for about ten years, they are about to move into their new building, so they are celebrating with an art show & auction, live music, bike auction and demos, and a tasty dinner. The big event is being held at the Sanctuary for Independent Media (3361 6th Avenue in north Troy). Be sure to click the link to see their directions because I got lost the first time I went there.
Here’s the schedule of events:
2:00pm Doors open
2-4pm Bike rodeo for kids
3, 4 & 5 New building tours
3:00pm Silent art auction begins
